Q:"What can I expect to do in your Boot Camp class?"

Every workout is always something new and different… so no repeat or routine training days here! We like to change up your workout, which prevents boredom and maximizes your workout goals and results. You can expect “multi-tasking” for your muscles. Stretching, running, obstacle courses, circuit training, jumping jacks, pushups, jump roping, sit-ups, abdominal work, core training and agility drills. Basically, just a lot of good old sweat, which is a great way to detox your body and mind!

Q:"What kind of people go to Boot Camp classes?"

People just like you! Our boot camp classes is designed for all fitness levels - all different shapes, sizes and ages. You do not have to be an athlete or physically fit to start. We establish a baseline for you, set achievable goals and monitor your progress. We have a wide range of participants - from those who have never worked out to those who are marathon runners. Everyone has a challenging personalized training program with individual goals and is pushed at their own pace and potential.

Q:"Can anyone join Boot Camp?"

Participants that join should be healthy adults. Even if you haven’t exercised for a while, Fitness Boot Camp classes are designed to allow any fitness level to achieve success. Instructors will show different levels of most exercises (beginning, intermediate, and advanced) and participants choose which best suits their fitness level. Participants must be 16 years of age or older.

Q:"What should I bring to class?"

Bring a water bottle, towel, a smile and a positive attitude. Be sure to dress comfortably – workout pants, t-shirt/tank and athletic shoes.

Q:"What kind of results can I expect?"

Every person is different so it really depends on you and your commitment to attending classes regularly and achieving your goals. Generally speaking, you will experience a range of health and fitness benefits such as weight loss, decrease in clothes size, reduction in body fat, increase in strength, fitness and confidence, team building and camaraderie with fellow classmates, perseverance of physical and mental challenges and realization of your goals.

Q:"How soon will I see results?"

Everyone is different with different types of body frames and constitutions. Some can see improvements in performance in as little time as 1 week. Many see visual improvements in 3 weeks, depending on your effort level and maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle outside of classes. It is very common to see people lose weight and decrease in size when consistently attending boot camp.

We will conduct assessments and fitness tests to gauge fitness improvements. These tests will be recorded to show you how and where you’ve improved, as well as areas to work on to maximize individual results.

Q:"What other benefits does boot camp provide besides an intense workout?"

You will enjoy the combination of personal attention and social interaction from our boot camp classes. People who exercise regularly are also happier, healthier and live longer. Exercise helps prevent heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, arthritis and cancer. Exercise has also been proven to reduce stress, anxiety and depression and increase energy and stamina. So many good things!

Q:"Will I be sore?"

Most people feel some soreness after the first few days. It typically goes away after that, but the trick is to exercise on a regular basis, which helps to prevent soreness.

Q:"What if I have a specific injury (i.e. bad knees or back) or can't perform a certain exercise?"

We will provide modified workouts that are personalized for you as an alternative to strengthen your body and still give you the most intense workout possible.

Q:"Will you yell at us?"

Yes, there will be yelling involved, but only in a healthy, motivating way. We don't abuse, harass or degrade anyone…ever. We provide positive reinforcement, encouragement, some good jokes and lots of fun.
